The WSNPTA has partnered with various restaurants in our area to hold regularly scheduled dine-out nights throughout the year to raise money to support the playground fund and other school activities. Each partner restaurant has agreed to donate a percentage of their sales to our school on a designated evening. Parents and students will be notified of upcoming dine-out night fundraisers through email, phone messages and/or flyers sent home with students. Some restaurants that we have partnered with in the past include Raising Cane's, Chipotle and Whit's Frozen Custard. If you have any suggestions for setting up a new partnership with a food spot that we don't already have on the calendar, please let the PTA know! We are always on the lookout for new opportunities!
We are pleased to announce a new opportunity this year for ELC families to purchase school apparel for both students and adults. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the WSNPTA.
For the past few years, the WSNPTA has sponsored a wildly successful Dance-a-Thon that gives students the opportunity to recruit sponsors and dance the school day away to raise money for our school. In past years, the PTA has brought in a D.J. and has provided snacks and refreshments to students. This fundraiser typically occurs in the fall. Flyers providing more details will be arriving home in your child's backpack soon.
Get ready for one of our most popular fundraisers! Through this opportunity, ELC families can purchase a variety of discounted Little Caesar's pizza kits. Most students typically collect orders/payment from friends and family and submit their consolidated order form to the PTA. The PTA submits these discounted orders to Little Caesar's and takes delivery from the company. Orders are then available for pick-up at the ELC at designated dates/times. ELC families will be notified of specific dates in the near future. Our current tentative timeline is set for early 2018.
Each year Scholastic offers ELC families two book fairs to purchase quality books and gifts. These events are operated by the PTA itself. Although neither book fair typically generates actual dollars, they do generate "scholastic" dollars that the PTA and ELC can redeem to purchase books for students and teachers. The first book fair usually occurs in the fall and the second occurs in the spring. The second book fair is usually a BOGO sale that has been incredibly successful.
Our dedicate team has been brainstorming to come up with new and exciting fundraising opportunities that are beneficial both to our ELC families and our school. At this time, we are looking into several new opportunities and will keep you posted on our progress.
If you shop for groceries at Kroger or Giant Eagle and have a free rewards card, each purchase that you make will allow Kroger/Giant Eagle to donate to our PTA. You lose absolutely nothing. Your rewards will never be reduced, and you will never be charged extra. You can participate in this program by choosing our PTA as your designated charity.
To learn how to participate, please be on the look-out for a detailed instruction sheet that will be sent home with your child at the beginning of the school year. A copy of this form can also be downloaded below!
Amazon Smile is Amazon's donation program with which the WSNPTA is registered as a charity. Each time that you make a purchase from Amazon, complete your checkout process at Smile.Amazon.com for a portion of your purchase to count for the WSNPTA. You will not be charged anything extra. Amazon will, on its own, donate a percentage of your invoice to us.
Please note that when selecting our PTA as your designated charity in your account settings, you will need to select "PTA Ohio Congress Westerville Special Needs."
